Hello, I tried the pomerium zero demo docker setup, but I’m getting ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED for some reason when accessing the verify.*.pomerium.app page. From local network I’m able to connect to the container when using the ip address.
I found something related to the issue when going thought the documentation but didn’t really find a way to fix this. Does the this need a static public ip address to work?
Hi there,
Can you share more about how Pomerium is deployed? Are you running locally via docker compose? What operating system are you using? Is it on a residential network?
A static ip address is not a requirement, but access to pomerium on port 443 from the public internet is required. See https://www.pomerium.com/docs/troubleshooting#configure-port-443-to-allow-inbound-access.
If you have any router in use, there may need to configure traffic on port 443 to forward to the correct machine running Pomerium.
